 | Motorola blazes new trials to launch GPS Mapping Systems |  |
 Motorola together with Mappa Systems Ltd. today announced Hong Kong’s first built in GPS mobile phone receiver.
Aimed at “bringing intelligent technology to daily life”, MOTOROLA’s brand new A1000 mobile phone with built in receiver allows users to experience the convenience of GPS Hong Kong Maps while they are on the road.
Bundled with a detailed hiking map of Hong Kong, and with other maps available for download, the GPS based technology puts this powerful technology into a mobile phone for the first time.
“This exciting new technology will put a limitless virtual street directory into the pockets of Hong Kongers for the first time,” said Mr. Cedric So, Vice President and Mobile Device General Manger, MOTOROLA Asia Pacific Pty Ltd. “We are extremely proud to be able to bring this technology to life.”

This breakthrough GPS service has received the support of the Lands Department, HKSAR.
