Bird S1180c is announced in 2004

Design

Bird's S1180c has a standard design for this class handsets, measuring 43 x 81 x 18 mm and 75 grams. Despite the weight it has a good feel in the hand, and the good shaped plastic body and styled highlights give it an attractive and nice look.The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual.The display resolution 128 x 96 pixel is not very high but is normal for small phone like this.

The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Bird handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.

Ergonomics

The S1180c is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Bird handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial.
