Ericsson R250 Pro is announced in 1999

Design

Ericsson's R250 Pro - one of few models from Ericsson featuring a more traditional candy bar design, the Ericsson R250 Pro is very heavy and too big handset at 148 x 59 x 32 mm and 325 grams. The black and white display is ideal for text, messages and simple pictures like logos and picture massages. The display resolution 96 x 48 pixel is not very high but is normal for low class phone.

The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker. There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Ericsson handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.

Ergonomics

The R250 Pro is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Ericsson handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial. Its keypad is as pleasing in use as its chassis is on the eyes: tactile feedback is excellent and all buttons are placed in a logical manner - quite a feat, considering R250 Pro's knack for quirky keypads. And last, but not least, a simple two-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Features

Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Ericsson R250 Pro has to offer: there's also support for .and spacious phone book..

Performance

Audio quality on the R250 Pro was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 1600 mAh NI-MH battery is rated for 5 hours talk time or 150 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 240 minutes.

Availability

The Ericsson R250 Pro is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Conclusion

Ericsson R250 Pro is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical Ericsson design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws.
