 HTC SPV E200 is announced in 2003
Design
HTC's SPV E200 - one of few models from HTC featuring a more traditional candy bar design, the HTC SPV E200 is heavy and little big handset at 120 x 50 x 24 mm and 130 grams. The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual.The display resolution 176 x 220 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker, while on the other side we find a dedicated camera button.
Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the SPV E200's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all HTC handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.
Ergonomics
The SPV E200 is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent HTC handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, giving it a cheap feel while oddly designed buttons, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial.Its keypad is as pleasing in use as its chassis is on the eyes: tactile feedback is excellent and all buttons are placed in a logical manner - quite a feat, considering SPV E200's knack for quirky keypads.And last,but not least, a four-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

In the WAN department, the SPV E200 boasts healthy support for Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz, as well as GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Email client, Java MIDP 1.0, voice commands, a voice recorder, FAX/Modem, Loud Speaker, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of infrared old wireless device,bluetooth high speed small range wireless device.GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book.
As previously mentioned, the SPV E200 is also equipped with a 0.3 megapixel camera support for picture-taking and audio/video recording, as well as an integrated MP3 player.The latter of which is also the reason for why the 0 MB of internal memory, which initially appears spacious, is quickly stretched to its limits. The SPV E200 also comes with an Secure Digital (SD) and Multi Media Card (MMC) expansion slot located under its battery,a 16-128 MB card comes bundled in the sales package, more space for images audio and video files, less time for PC and communication cable for updating internal memory, MP3 and MPEG4 are both formats which can be stored for playback on the HTC SPV E200.
Performance
Audio quality on the SPV E200 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 1000 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 3 hours talk time or 72 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 150 minutes.
Availability
The HTC SPV E200 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
HTC SPV E200 is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical HTC design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws. |
