Hyundai Syscom PTT Terminal is announced in 2004

Design

Hyundai's Syscom PTT Terminal - one of few models from Hyundai featuring a more traditional candy bar design, the Hyundai Syscom PTT Terminal is slender and not very compact handset at 118 x 44 x 20 mm and 115 grams. The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual. The display resolution 128 x 160 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.

The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker. There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Hyundai handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.

Ergonomics

The Syscom PTT Terminal lies well in ones hand.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Hyundai handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.Unfortunately, the keypad of the Hyundai Syscom PTT Terminal emits excess noise, but on the bright side its keys have been comfortably spaced and sized. We're not entirely happy with the design of the navigational pad and its adjacent buttons, however, as distinguishing between these less easy than it ought to be.And last, but not least, a five-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Features

Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Hyundai Syscom PTT Terminal has to offer: there's also support for SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Email client, Java MIDP 2.0, 40-channels polyphony, FAX/Modem, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of and spacious phone book..

Performance

Audio quality on the Syscom PTT Terminal was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 1000 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 4 hours talk time or 150 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 150 minutes.

Availability

The Hyundai Syscom PTT Terminal is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Conclusion

Hyundai Syscom PTT Terminal is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical Hyundai design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws.
