LG W7020 is announced in 2002

Design

LG's W7020 has a standard design for this class handsets, measuring 45 x 88 x 22 mm and 89 grams. Despite the weight it has a good feel in the hand, and the good shaped plastic body and styled highlights give it an attractive and nice look. The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual. The display resolution 128 x 160 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.

The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.
Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the W7020's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all LG handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.

Ergonomics

The W7020 is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent LG handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial.

Features

Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the LG W7020 has to offer: there's also support for GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Java MIDP 2.0, 40-channels polyphony, a voice recorder, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of infrared old wireless device,GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book..

Performance

Audio quality on the W7020 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 820 mAh Li-pol battery is rated for 4 hours talk time or 200 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 122 minutes.

Availability

The LG W7020 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Conclusion

LG's W7020 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from LG. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable.
