Design
The V70 is an incredible looking handset, totally unique and, in our spot poll, a real object of lust for both sexes of all ages. Weighing in at 83 grams and measuring 94 x 38 x 18 mm, it's compact, while not featherweight. It's shorter and narrower than one would expect, and thicker, too, thanks to the unique design. The black and white display is ideal for text, messages and simple pictures like logos and picture massages.The display resolution 96 x 65 pixel is not very high but is normal for small phone like this.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Motorola handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.
Ergonomics
The V70 lies well in ones hand.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Motorola handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.And last,but not least, a four-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Audio quality on the V70 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 430 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 3 hours talk time or 145 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 64 minutes.

The Motorola V70 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Motorola's V70 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from Motorola. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable. |
