Philips Fisio 825 is announced in 2002

Design

Philips's Fisio 825 has a standard design for this class handsets, measuring 47 x 98 x 21 mm and 85 grams. Despite the weight it has a good feel in the hand, and the good shaped plastic body and styled highlights give it an attractive and nice look. The 4096-color display is dim, not very bright and crisp, but is a far step above the very dim 256-color versions on even the most recent Philips models. The display resolution 112 x 112 pixel is not very high but is normal for small phone like this.

The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.
Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the Fisio 825's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all Philips handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.

Ergonomics

The Fisio 825 is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Philips handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial.

Features

Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Philips Fisio 825 has to offer: there's also support for GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Java MIDP 2.0, a voice recorder, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of bluetooth high speed small range wireless device.GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book..

Performance

Audio quality on the Fisio 825 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 700 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 4 hours talk time or 180 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 105 minutes.

Availability

The Philips Fisio 825 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Conclusion

Philips's Fisio 825 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from Philips. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable.
