 Sagem MY 3078 is announced in 2001
Design
The Sagem MY 3078 is a compact clamshell phone. Measures 75 x 45 x 23 mm in size and weighing 85 grams, it is light and feels very slender despite its size.The black and white display is ideal for text, messages and simple pictures like logos and picture massages.The display resolution 101 x 80 pixel is not very high but is normal for small phone like this.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Sagem handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.
Ergonomics
The MY 3078 lies well in ones hand.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Sagem handsets.The plastic keypad has very limited key travel and jiggles independently of the phone, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.And last,but not least, a simple two-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Sagem MY 3078 has to offer: there's also support for SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of and spacious phone book..
Performance
Audio quality on the MY 3078 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 700 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 2 hours talk time or 180 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 105 minutes.

The Sagem MY 3078 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Sagem's MY 3078 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from Sagem. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable. |
