 Samsung C200 is announced in 2004
Design
Having gained fresh wind in its sails over the course of the past year or so, Samsung has certainly made its mark on phone sale hit lists recently, the Samsung C200 is a very slender and compact handset at 105 x 43 x 19 mm and 69 grams. The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual.The display resolution 128 x 128 pixel which is standart resolution for more mobile phones.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Samsung handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.
Ergonomics
The C200 lies well in ones hand.A numerical keypad placed below offers appropriately-spaced keys and are pleasantly comfortable in use.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Samsung handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.Unfortunately, the keypad of the Samsung C200 emits excess noise, but on the bright side its keys have been comfortably spaced and sized. We're not entirely happy with the design of the navigational pad and its adjacent buttons, however, as distinguishing between these less easy than it ought to be.And last,but not least, a four-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Samsung C200 has to offer: there's also support for GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Java MIDP 2.0, 40-channels polyphony, a voice recorder, FAX/Modem, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of infrared old wireless device,GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book. and when it comes to storage the C200 offers 10 MB which is dynamically shared between images and J2ME applications.
Performance
Audio quality on the C200 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 700 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 6 hours talk time or 220 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 105 minutes.

The Samsung C200 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
Samsung's C200 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from Samsung. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable. |
