Design
Having gained fresh wind in its sails over the course of the past year or so, Siemens has certainly made its mark on phone sale hit lists recently, the Siemens AX75 is a very slender and compact handset at 106 x 47 x 18 mm and 76 grams. A perfectly adequate 65,000-color display is bright and crisp, and is a far step above the dim 4096-color versions on even the most recent Siemens models.The display resolution 128 x 128 pixel which is standart resolution for more mobile phones.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Siemens handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.
Ergonomics
The AX75 is comfortable to hold and lies well in ones hand.A numerical keypad placed below offers appropriately-spaced keys and are pleasantly comfortable in use.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Siemens handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.Unfortunately, the keypad of the Siemens AX75 emits excess noise, but on the bright side its keys have been comfortably spaced and sized. We're not entirely happy with the design of the navigational pad and its adjacent buttons, however, as distinguishing between these less easy than it ought to be.And last,but not least, a four-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

In the WAN department, the AX75 boasts healthy support for Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz, as well as GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Java MIDP 1.0, 16-channels polyphony, Loud Speaker, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of infrared old wireless device,GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book. and when it comes to storage the AX75 offers 1 MB which is dynamically shared between images and J2ME applications.

Audio quality on the AX75 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 600 mAh battery is rated for 5 hours talk time or 220 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 90 minutes.

The Siemens AX75 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Siemens's AX75 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from Siemens. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable. |
