 Siemens C35i is announced in 2000
Design
The latter quickly became immensely popular and also the manufacturer's flagship, but with the advent of the C35i, Siemens has finally entrenched itself as an important player in the market for experienced users, the Siemens C35i is slender and not very compact handset at 118 x 46 x 21 mm and 110 grams. The black and white display is ideal for text, messages and simple pictures like logos and picture massages.The display resolution 96 x 65 pixel is not very high but is normal for low class phone.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker.
Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the C35i's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all Siemens handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.
Ergonomics
The C35i is comfortable to hold and lies well in ones hand.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Siemens handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.Unfortunately, the keypad of the Siemens C35i emits excess noise, but on the bright side its keys have been comfortably spaced and sized. We're not entirely happy with the design of the navigational pad and its adjacent buttons, however, as distinguishing between these less easy than it ought to be.And last,but not least, a simple two-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Siemens C35i has to offer: there's also support for SMS, .and spacious phone book..
Performance
Audio quality on the C35i was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 500 mAh NI-MH battery is rated for 5 hours talk time or 180 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 75 minutes.
Availability
The Siemens C35i is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
Siemens C35i is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical Siemens design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws. |
