Design

The Siemens CF62 is a compact clamshell phone. Measures 85 x 45 x 22 mm in size and weighing 85 grams, it is light and feels very slender despite its size.A secound 80 x 48 pixel, 2 display dominates the front cover, and although not the clearest external display we've seen it is still quite functional. The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual. The display resolution 130 x 130 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.

The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker. There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Siemens handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.

Ergonomics

The CF62 lies well in ones hand.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Siemens handsets. The plastic keypad has very limited key travel and jiggles independently of the phone, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary. And last, but not least, a four-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Features

In the WAN department, the CF62 boasts healthy support for Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz, as well as GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Java MIDP 2.0, 16-channels polyphony, FAX/Modem, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book. and when it comes to storage the CF62 offers 1 MB which is dynamically shared between images and J2ME applications.

Performance

Audio quality on the CF62 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 600 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 4 hours talk time or 220 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 90 minutes.

Availability

The Siemens CF62 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
