Siemens SF65 is announced in 2004
Design
Siemens SF65 handset is a distinctive-looking clamshell. Measures 91 x 44 x 23 mm in size and weighing 97 grams, it is light and feels very slender despite its size. The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual. The display resolution 128 x 160 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker, while on the other side we find a dedicated camera button. There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Siemens handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.
Ergonomics
The SF65 lies well in ones hand.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Siemens handsets. The plastic keypad has very limited key travel and jiggles independently of the phone, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary. And last, but not least, a five-way navigation buttons centered below the display.
Features
Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Siemens SF65 has to offer: there's also support for GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Email client, Java MIDP 2.0, 64-channels polyphony, FAX/Modem, Loud Speaker, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of infrared old wireless device,GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book.
As previously mentioned, the SF65 is also equipped with a 1 megapixel camera support for picture-taking and when it comes to storage the SF65 offers 18 MB which is dynamically shared between images and J2ME applications.
Performance
Audio quality on the SF65 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 660 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 4 hours talk time or 400 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 99 minutes.
Availability
The Siemens SF65 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
Siemens SF65 is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical Siemens design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws. |
