Design

Far better looking than the previous models, the P900 appears both smaller and sleeker than its predecessor - a result of the visual illusion as the difference in size is marginal. There are however several other quite tangible differences, coincidentally leaving a larger area of the screen exposed; overall improved build quality and ergonomics; and some weight loss.Weighing in at 150 grams and measuring 115 x 57 x 24 mm, it's compact ad powerful for its size.A perfectly adequate 65,000-color display is bright and crisp, and is a far step above the dim 4096-color versions on even the most recent SonyEricsson models.The display resolution 208 x 320 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.

The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker, while on the other side we find a dedicated camera button.
Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the P900's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all SonyEricsson handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.

Ergonomics

The P900 is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent SonyEricsson handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial.What's more, the P910i frustratingly flops all around the place when using both thumbs to enter text, yielding a usability level best suited to very short messages. Thankfully, it's still possible to detach the flip entirely for those who prefer fully touch-based interaction.

As previously mentioned, the P900 is also equipped with a 0.3 megapixel camera support for picture-taking and audio/video recording, as well as an integrated MP3 player.The latter of which is also the reason for why the 0 MB of internal memory, which initially appears spacious, is quickly stretched to its limits. The P900 also comes with an Memory Stick Duo and expansion slot located under its battery,a 16-128 MB card comes bundled in the sales package, more space for images audio and video files, less time for PC and communication cable for updating internal memory, MP3 and MPEG4 are both formats which can be stored for playback on the SonyEricsson P900.

Performance

Audio quality on the P900 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 1100 mAh Li-pol battery is rated for 13 hours talk time or 400 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 165 minutes.

The SonyEricsson P900 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.

Conclusion

SonyEricsson P900 is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical SonyEricsson design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws.
